Zhongxin. com, Shaoguan, August 13th (Wang Jianlian, Desheng) The reporter learned from the Danxia Mountain Management Committee on the 13th that in order to promote the construction of the Danxia Mountain Smart Reserve and enhance the scientific research and monitoring capabilities of the reserve, the Danxia Mountain Management Committee organized and implemented the construction of an intelligent monitoring system for wildlife infrared cameras and videos in Danxia Mountain, and set up 100 sets of infrared cameras and 2 sets of automatic monitoring equipment for black light intelligent ball machines in sub-regional grids to monitor the wildlife in the reserve around the clock.

According to the introduction of Danxia Mountain Management Committee, since the project started three months ago, a large number of precious wildlife image materials, mainly mammals and birds, have been photographed, further demonstrating the ecological value of Danxia Mountain.

According to preliminary identification, as of August 10th, 29 species of mammals and birds have been monitored, and 691 valid photos have been obtained. A variety of national and provincial protected animals have been monitored, including leopard cat, spotted forest raccoon, silver pheasant, brown-winged crow, fairy thrush, thrush, red-billed lovebird and other national second-class protected animals, white-browed thrush, red-billed lovebird and so on.

At present, the project team is analyzing the data to better grasp the population number, distribution range, living habits and activity rules of wild animals in the reserve, so as to do a better job in wildlife conservation and biodiversity protection.

According to the person in charge of the project, the picture of muntjac eating wild ganoderma lucidum was photographed for the first time, which updated zoologists’ knowledge of muntjac recipes and provided new information for wildlife conservation. For the first time, the silver star bamboo rat and the fairy eight-color thrush were photographed in Danxia Mountain, adding a new record to the list of wildlife in Danxia Mountain.

At the same time, in view of the complex terrain in the core area of the nature reserve, it is difficult to cover the network signals, and a manual monitoring project has been carried out to accurately find out the bird resources, migration law, climbing resources and distribution law in Danxia Mountain. In the past year, not only the Chinese merganser and yellow-breasted flounder, but also the Jinggangshan ridgeback and Xianbacai thrush, which are national first-class protected animals, were recorded.

The reporter was informed that during the three-month monitoring, more than 100 devices mainly deployed in the buffer zone and the core zone have not recorded the phenomenon of human entry, and no phenomenon of poaching wild animals and stealing wild plants has been found.

The relevant person in charge of the Danxia Mountain Management Committee said that the concept of ecological protection of the aborigines in the reserve has been significantly improved, and they can consciously abide by the relevant laws and regulations of the reserve and become the protector of biodiversity and the guardian of the world natural heritage.
